Kasukuwere purges Mnangagwa allies

Zanu-PF is burning in Mashonaland Central as political commissar Saviour Kasukuwere is purging party officials linked to VP Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Already, several legislators could be suspended from the province after Kasukuwere's brother Dickson Mafios, who is the party's interim provincial chairperson, moved to have them shown the exit door on allegations they belonged to the Joice Mujuru faction.

A youth leader has also been removed in a vote of no confidence.

Kasukuwere is being accused by some senior party officials of using his office to settle political scores.
