Zimbabweans personalising politics

The leader of Progressive Democratic  Zimbabwe (PDZ)  Party Barbara Nyagomo said Zimbabweans continue to personalise politics and follow political cults.

"Our society creates political demi-gods and dictators," she said. "We idolise people with profiles and rubbish ordinary people doing extraordinary work in our communities."

"We recycle our politicians.I hope our comrades who have been in Govt since 1980 truly had a Damascus Moment."

She said people are euphoric about a manifesto just as we have done since 1980......but the policies were never implemented to benefit the majority.

"All new political leaders must lead by example and start by declaring their assets, farms etc.Lets them denounce corruption,looting,poor governance and human rights violations," she said. "A policy document without implementation is not worth anything. Let there be a Zimbabwean vision and Unity of purpose."
