4 hrs ago | Views

The City of Harare has officially launched a new online application and recruitment platform for students seeking industrial attachment opportunities, marking a significant shift away from the traditional paper-based submission process.
Mr Mostard Mashiringo, the city's principal systems officer, said the digital platform enables students to apply from any location at any time, streamlining the application process.
"The system not only streamlines the admission process, but also fosters a more efficient relationship with educational institutions, reducing delays and improving transparency," the city stated.
Mr Bruno Hlabanu, the City of Harare's students coordinator, urged prospective applicants to visit the city's official website - www.hararecity.co.zw - starting July 1, 2025, where they can follow detailed, step-by-step guidelines to submit their applications.
In addition, the platform allows students to track the status of their applications in real time, enhancing communication and reducing uncertainty.
This initiative is part of Harare's broader digital transformation strategy and aligns with recommendations from the Zimbabwe Manpower Development Fund (ZIMDEF) to automate administrative systems, improving accountability, responsiveness, and service delivery in student placement programs.
The online system is expected to bring efficiency and convenience for both the city and the thousands of students seeking valuable industrial experience.
