THREE police officers who were deployed on operation "No to Crime" were nabbed for receiving a $45 bribe from a man they had found with a pig carcass in Mbare.

The trio- Krispen Majoni, Charles Mutore and Prince Dzitiro appeared in court charged with criminal abuse of office.

However, they deny the charges.

The court heard that on September 21 at around 9am, the cops were in the company of two other cops when they met Thesious Shambare.

Shambare was pushing a cart loaded with a pig carcass. The fire cops asked Shambare to produce a certificate allowing him to transport the swine's carcass and he failed to do so.

They then demanded $120 from Shambare who said he had no cash on him and begged to them to afford him time to borrow from his friends.

He then gave Majoni $45.

After that Shambare quickly reported the issue to the Harare province Anti- Corruption team

They were arrested after they implicated each other.

They are back in court on October 26.
