Mthwakazi Republic Party (MRP) President Mqondisi Moyo has led a 6 member delegation, Team MRP, to Khezi Maphisa where the party distributed fliers and spoke to the people in a door to door campaign.
"We took time to visit Khezi business centre, Maphisa, Sunyetsen business centre, Tshelanyemba, Nhlapho, St Joseph as well as villagers of Dry Paddock and Tuti villages," Moyo said.
"People in Khezi promised to vote for the party next year insisting that they are tired of being used by Zanu PF. Some people said they were still bitter over Gukurahundi Genocide that took place in the area. Some people told us that places such as Dry Paddock village is a nightmare walking there at night is very risky."
He said this place has many ghosts you don't walk freely here at night, because there are many Gukurahundi victims in the area and a lot of people died during the time of madness.
"We believe this is so because the Gukurahundi issue has not been resolved, said a villager on condition of anonymity. MRP is planning to hold a campaign rally in the near future in Khezi and Maphisa. We also visited Mabonyane "Bhalagwe" the story is the same people are still asking for Answers over Gukurahundi genocide. Who killed their relatives and why?" he said.
Moyo promised that the party will leave no stone unturned in making sure that Mthwakazi is restored.
He said a lot of people said they are haunted by the spirits of the dead, whose spirits still demands justice.
"We went to Khezi- Maphisa accompanied by the local citizen who is also going to be the party's Parliamentary candidate and will be officially announced at a rally to be held soon," he said.
"We are fully convinced that Mthwakazi Restoration agenda is on course and now is the time. People are impressed by MRP president's humbleness, as he is easy to approach and willing to meet people. Finally people have promised here that they are no longer going to vote ZANU and MDC-T, because its a waste of time voting those two."
Mthwakazi Republic Party is intensifying its campaigns and on the 22 of July 2017 will have a double rally in Zenka, Nkayi Matabeleland North.
