PLUMTREE – A 19-year-old Solusi University student has been arraigned before the courts after he was caught with two stolen laptops hidden in his satchel.

Tadiwanashe Goodman Junior Mudzviti appeared before Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware on charges of unlawful entry and theft. He was remanded out of custody to November 3.

The state alleges that on October 27, Mudzviti unlawfully entered the room of fellow student Ncube Thabo and stole two laptops. Thabo returned moments later and found the suspect with the stolen items in his possession. University security was alerted and apprehended Mudzviti before handing him over to police.

The stolen laptops were recovered.
