PLUMTREE - A 34-year-old herdboy from Ngulube homestead has appeared in court after allegedly attacking his colleague with a sling and biting him during a dispute over respect.
Sinai Ndebele was arraigned before Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware facing an assault charge. The incident reportedly occurred in October while the two were working in a garden.
According to prosecutor Sheila Nyathi, Ndebele accused fellow herdboy Shadreck Ndlovu of being disrespectful, leading to a heated argument. Ndebele then struck Ndlovu in the eye with a sling and bit him on the right arm.
The injured Ndlovu received medical treatment and was later discharged. The case has been postponed to November 14 for continuation.
