A man employed by a city lawyer Tawengwa Hara is in trouble after he allegedly raped a 17 year old girl who had visited his work place to collect vegetables at a garden in Matobo district.
Givemore Shoko pleaded not guilty to the rape charge when he appeared before Bulawayo Regional Court magistrate Mark Dzira.
The prosecutor Tinashe Dzipe told the court that on January 2014 the girl went to Tawenga Harar's home stead in Matobo where the accused was employed as a domestic worker. She was going to collect vegetables and when she arrived she found the accused alone.
The accused gave her vegetables but before she could leave he ordered to lie down and he raped her once.
She later went home and the matter came to light when she was raped by another worker Martin Dube and she was taken to Plumtree District hospital where a doctor revealed she had been penetrated before.
She then revealed that she was raped by Shoko leading to his arrest.
