Some dreams are so strong they can be real

At a time most workers are jostling to present their requests for pay rise on the back drop of soaring prices of goods and services, NSSA pensioners can only watch.
Not because silence mean contentment but are too hungry to speak. RTGS80 per month is what NSSA pensioners get monthly, making their month the 'longest' among those who survive on monthly payouts. The elderly lot are going hungry as the eighty RTGS has long been eroded by the rising inflation.
Simple pain relievers for that age related throbbing headache are now beyond the reach of many. Putting food on the table is now a mammoth task for NSSA pensioners whose monthly payout has remained stagnant yet prices of basic commodities have skyrocketed.
Can someone in the corridors of power speak for the poor pensioners please? Do unions stop representing pensioners upon retirement? Surely there are still some good people out there who can volunteer to represent the poor NSSA pensioners and fight in their corner. NSSA is said to be awash with money yet those supposed to benefit are singing the blues.
Bread, meat, tea, medication and washing soap, NSSA pensioners can now only dream. Days ticking by, the suffering pensioners can only hope till the Creator grants them peace and rest through death. Some dreams are so strong they can become real.
