The Shona supremacist agenda that drove Zanu PF to commit the Gukurahundi Genocide continues to be the ethos of the party in 2026. Imagine if this was Bindura, Bikita or Chitakatira & Ndebeles were the only community voice that The Herald could find?
How would that be embraced by those communities? When Ndebeles say Gukurahundi continues up to this day, 46 years after the so-called independence this is what they mean. We're far from being an inclusive country that not only recognizes but respects ethnic diversity. Very far!
