Zacc a Constitutional commission and Constitutionality
06 Nov 2016 at 12:07hrs | Views
Zacc (Zimbabwe Anti Corruption Commission) is a commission set up by the Government with a constitutional mandate to investigate corruption, collect evidence and to carry out interviews with those alleged to have committed such acts before presenting such cases before the court of law.
It is an inaccurate assumption to believe that Zacc has prerogatives to arrest individuals before they appear before a court of law to give an account or defend themselves a constitutional right.
Therefore is Zacc chooses the route of arrests to my best knowledge it becomes a constitutional breach that defys the judicial powers and undermines Democratic nature
