Zim crashes out

The Zimbabwe cricket team are out of the T-20 World Cup competition, despite registering a comfortable five wicket win over the United Arab Emirates on Friday.
A great fighting spirit handed the Chevrons a 5 wicket win that was, however, not enough to steer them through to the T-20 World Cup super 10.
After winning the toss and electing to field, Zimbabwe did well to restrict the UAE, with Sean Williams taking 3 wickets for 15 runs, while Tendai Chatara and Sikander Razza both took two wickets.
Zimbabwe did well in chasing the set out target of 117 to win.
A match winning performance by man-of-the-match Elton Chigumbura helped steer Zimbabwe to a 5 wicket win in 13.4 overs.
The victory helped lift the Zimbabwe above Ireland, thanks to a superior net run rate, leaving the Chevrons with hope for a Netherlands win outside 14.2 overs.
Zimbabwe's hopes were, however, dashed by a stunning Netherlands performance.
After losing the toss and sent in to bat Ireland posted 189 for four, a total many thought would be enough to hand Ireland a win.
Needing 190 to win inside 14.22 overs in order to qualify, the Netherlands came out guns blazing.
A 23 ball 63 by Stephan Myburgh and a 45-run contribution by Tom Cooper gave the Dutch a solid foundation to go for victory inside 14.2 overs.
Requiring 13 from six balls to qualify for the super 10, a masterclass of hard hitting saw Wesley Barresi produce a match winning performance.
