Warriors talisman, Khama Billiat has reportedly told coach Kalisto Pasuwa that his club Mamelodi Sundowns has ordered him to take his time in
joining the camp.
By Friday, he was still to team up with other players.
According to reports, Billiat briefly showed up at the training ground on Thursday "before leaving in a huff", NewsDay reported.
"He (Billiat) is not here, but the team manager is handling the issue" Pasuwa is quoted saying.
"He came this afternoon at the hotel and told me that he was in possession of a letter written by his club demanding that we should give him time off. I will need to see the letter first.
"I can't say anything as of now. He just told me there was a letter from his club, so I have told him to bring it"
However, on Friday, Dembare Dotcoms revealed that Khama's behavior was causing divisions within the camp.
Below is the un-edited report :
NO KHAMA, THIS IS WRONG!!
South African player of the year, Khama Billiat has angered Warriors team-mates by his diva behavior akin to that of a Hollywood star,DEMBARE DOTCOMS can exclusively reveal.
Three sources in the camp have collaborated a story in which the player yesterday drove a top of the range white SUV to the Gateway training ground powered by boosters that distracted training for a few minutes.
On arrival he is said to have parked and had a chat with a few players before mocking the training kit they were wearing and telling everyone who cared to listen how sub standard the jerseys were and that he will never wear " a such cheap and embarrassing training kit".
After the negative comments and attention seeking high sound raving of his SUV Khama Billiat left while the training continued.
Contrary to media reports suggesting that Khama joined the camp, we have it on good authority that he did not join the camp. Rather, he showed up to have medical tests before vanishing into thin air.
If anything at all ,the talented but aloof star was drinking himself to blindness at Maestro Club in Harare a fact that had some players angry and questioning his seriousness and openly protesting.
As is the norm Khama also had a few ladies to compliment his day far away from the hotel that is hosting Warriors in the capital.
Today strutting like a model Khama went to the hotel after going for medicals to which he was "shocked" on learning that he was going to share a room with another player.
He demanded that he be allocated his own room and the authorities refused to entertain the idea. Khama is said to have left the hotel after that.
The source has not indicated to Dembare Dotcoms when the player will be back to join others.
To top it up the nimble footed and pencil slim star had the audacity to post a snap chat video smoking Shisha much to the dismay of players who are openly angry at his diva like behavior.
Although Khama was given a special arrangement to be excused from grueling drills Pasuwa had rightly suggested that he be part of the camp to bond with others.
Players like Nakamba have been doing light training despite being given the same privilege. Dennis Onyango, Khama's teammate joined the Uganda Afcon camp on 24 December and although he has not been training, the coaches stressed that its important to 'bond' with other players.
