Warriors coach Kalisto Pasuwa has defended Khama Billiat's much condemned actions claiming that some dark forces are attempting to cause chaos in his team by abusing the players.
Billiat only joined camp on Monday after days of playing hide and seek.
Billiat arrived in the country late December but did not join camp.
He claimed that his club, Mamelodi Sundowns instructed him to rest.
However, the player was spotted in nightclubs in Harare and at times playing social soccer.
His actions were said to have angered other players in camp saying he is being disrespectful.
However, Pasuwa seem to support Billiat.
But I am surprised and disappointed that at a time when we should be encouraging these boys and motivating them to go out there and die for the nation, we seem bent on destroying them and abusing them," said Pasuwa as quoted by state controlled Herald.
"It must also be remembered that I was the first person to observe that Khama needed to be rested and to be managed properly in terms of his physical condition if he is to give us his best in Gabon and I announced at Easter last year before we played Swaziland.
"So there is nothing new really now and our doctors have been assessing the reports from the clubs and doing their own checks so that we get professional advice," he added.
Zifa communications manager Xolisani Gwesela said Billat should be left alone as he has his private life.
"And whatever he may have done during that period, remember he is an adult who has got his own private life.
"As an association we don't have jurisdiction over the players' personal lives especially when they are outside national team camp" he said.
