Bulawayo Metropolitan under 13 lose to their bogey side Harare

Bulawayo Metropolitan Province Under 13 went all the way to the finals in the V.W Provincial Championships played in Harare today only to lose to their bogey side once again Harare 2-0.

Prior to their lose to Harare in the final The Princes from the City of Kings won 1-0 against Mashonaland Central with the goal coming from the boot of Ajax Hotspurs prodigy Nyasha "Mushekwi" Garayi.

In Bulawayo's second game, the Princes won 1-0 against Mashonaland East with the goal again coming from Onias Zibande young brother to Ozias Zibande of Highlanders.

Nyasha "Mushekwi" Garayi scored for the hatrick of wins for Bulawayo when downing Mashonaland West and what a stunner of a goal it was. For that exquisite effort, Garayi's goal was voted the Goal of the Tournament to cap a fine afternoon for the youngstar.

The three wins in the group stages meant Bulawayo progressed to the finals to meet their bogey side Harare and once again the boys from the Sunshine City proved a tricky puzzle as the Princes succumbed to two well taken goals to settle for silver medals.

Accoring to assistant coach Sakhelene Nxumalo, Thabo Lunga from New Airport in Nkulumane had an outstanding Tournament playing like a boy possessed.

At the end of the tournament six (6) boys from Bulawayo were selected into Provisional National Team Squad of twenty-seven (27) that is preparing to go to V.W Masters Championships in Poland next month.

The selected players from Bulawayo are (1) Reward "Rosto"Muza, (2) Nyasha "Mushekwi"Garayi (3) Onias "Ozizi" Zibande all from Ajax Hotspurs, (4) Panashe Nyahwa of Bantu Rovers (5) Thabo Lunga of New Airport Stars and (6) Xesha Ndlovu of S.O.S Bulawayo Peter "Nsukuzonke" Ndlovu before the team left for Harare.

The Chairman of Bulawayo Metropolitan Province Junior League Mkhululi Mthunzi expressed optimism after a once again gallant show from the Princes of the City of Kings. "The future is bright in Bulawayo we are moving in the right direction and the boys played really well. I call upon the Bulawayo Community to come in and support Junior Development in the Province."
