Bulawayo giants Highlanders are keeping their hopes of claiming the league crown alive with head coach Erol Akbay promising a re-energised approach from his charges when they meet Chapungu at Ascot Stadium this Saturday.
In the year the club turns 90, Highlanders have found themselves currently four points behind log leaders FC Platinum with five matches left before the season closes.
This weekend the Bulawayo Giants visit tricky customers Chapungu hoping to carry with them their recent form.
Speaking during the club's weekly press conference, head coach Erol ‘Mkabayi' Akbay (pictured below) vowed his side is willing to take all necessary risks to ensure they turn the tables against FC Platinum and Caps United.
The September Coach of the Month Winner also expressed confidence in his side to bring smiles on the faces of the multitudes of the Amahlolanyama fans.
Speaking during the same event, Bosso CEO Ndumiso Gumede spoke on a raiding mission of all facilities selling the club's regalia illegally.
Gumede also highlighted that Highlanders through ZIFA has resolved to take their matter against Witbank Spurs of South Africa to FIFA after the latter failed to meet their agreed US$30 000 payment for the services of Cleopas Dube.
It is to be seen if the club who last won the championship in 2006 will under the technical leadership of the Dutch coach Akbay be able to achieve the ambition of winning the championship this year.
