MultiChoice will today activate SuperSport 5 (SS5) on their low tier bouquets - Compact and Compact Plus - to enable all DStv subscribers to witness Africa's biggest sporting spectacle, the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) tournament live.
MultiChoice Zimbabwe general manager Norman Raisbeck said subscribers for the two bouquets would get special access to the Afcon-dedicated channel for the duration of the tournament taking place in Equatorial Guinea.
"The channel that has been dedicated to Afcon will bring our subscribers closer to the soccer action in Equatorial Guinea.
"The activation of the channel on the lower tier bouquets forms part of MultiChoice's continued efforts to give subscribers access to our exciting range of entertainment content via our different technological platforms while putting a spotlight on the abundance of sports talent on the continent," Raisbeck said.
The channel will go live on the bouquets at 2PM today and will close on February 9 at 10AM.
Raisbeck said DStv Premium and Compact Plus subscribers would have the privilege to view all 32 matches in both HD and SD.
"The live Afcon coverage by SuperSport will feature expert analysis from some of the most recognisable faces in the football industry like Ghanaian-born, former France football star Marcel Desailly, former South African national team player Neil Tovey and South Africa's former striker, Benni McCarthy."
