BULAWAYO - About 200 students graduated on Wednesday at the City of Bulawayo's vocational training ceremony after successfully completing courses in solar installation and house wiring.
The City Council announced the milestone via its official X account, noting that the programme was supported by the Bulawayo Vendors and Traders Organisation and Plan International, with graduates drawn from Pumula and Mzilikazi suburbs.

Bulawayo Mayor David Coltart, represented by Councillor Ntombizodwa Khumalo, Chairperson of the Health, Housing and Education Committee, said the City values partnerships with development organisations in equipping youths with practical skills.
"The City's commitment to deliver vocational skills resulted in Council at its November meeting resolving to transform the Magwegwe Beer Hall, popularly known as Marisha, into a Vocational Training Centre. This development will see the City operating 20 training centres," Coltart said.

Graduates were encouraged to use their new skills for self-development and to contribute to the growth and transformation of Bulawayo.
