A woman who desperately wanted dimples, had a procedure done that deformed her face.
Cherelle Campbell, a lawyer in training, has become one of the first women to undergo a dimpleplasty procedure. The plastic surgery involves drilling holes in the cheeks to create a dimple like effect.
Dimpleplasty, which involves making an incision with a scalpel and sewing the new dimples in place, costs about $2,500.
However, once it was done on Campbell, the dimples went a little too deep. After surgery, Cherelle's face looked rather deformed but two weeks into the healing process, she told Daily Mail the holes became less distinct. Now her new dimples appear only when she smiles.
Campbell expressed concern that the dimples make her look silly.
