The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) will again delay announcing 2018 elections results, in polls that have been described as the "hottest ever" in Zimbabwe, a prophet has said.

In 2008, ZEC waited  for up to five weeks to announce the results saying it needed meticulous verification.

The prediction is part of 25 prophecies by Bulawayo based prophet, Blessing Chiza of Eagle Life Assembly Church.

According to Chiza, active politics will be extremely dangerous.

"I see serious confusion in the political world in Zimbabwe 2017 and 2018 in a number of political parties like never before.

"Active politics will be dangerous, the coming elections will be the hottest ever. Mind who you trust and what you say" he prophesied.

He added "Many people will lose their lives. End of 2017 there will be a door that will seemingly show most politicians that anyone can be president. There will be a big delay before the results are released in 2018".

In 2008, Zanu PF lost its Parliament majority to the MDC-T and President Robert Mugabe lost the presidential polls to MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai, who however, failed to garner the 50 percent-plus one vote needed to enable him to become the President.

The country had to go for a presidential election run-off, again run by Zec, which was however marred by violence.

Between March and May, the world was made to wait for more than five weeks by Zec which did not announce election results amid MDC allegations that Zec was cooking up results to fix the matrix of an election run-off.
