Zanu PF leadership has been frightened by several prophets who have made pronouncements that a prominent politician will die this year.
Zanu PF political commissar, Saviour Kasukuwere said the prophets are now reckless and careless and need to be disciplined.
Kariba-based cleric, Philip Mugadza last week caused a media stir when he said the 92 year old President Robert Mugabe will die on October 17.
Bulawayo based preacher, Prophet Blessing Chiza indicated that turmoil would plunge an unnamed political party after the death of its key politician this year.
He said " I see a top key politician dying in 2017 and in a coffin in Zimbabwe and this shall shake a certain political party. It's a very key person and a high profile. Pray!" said Chiza.
However, Kasukuwere said the prophets in Zimbabwe were becoming reckless and careless with their pronouncements.
"I think these prophets are becoming reckless and careless. They should just stop the behaviour or they will force government to act".
Reacting to Kasukuwere's warning Mugadza said he would not be stopped him from declaring the prophecy.
"I am not saying I am going to be killing him on October 17, so there is no way anybody can say to me what you have done is wrong, I am not going to be killing anybody, I am only saying what God told me that he is going to die," he is quoted saying.
