Zanu-PF leader Robert Mugabe has castigated MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai over his utterances that he will announce election results, the role of the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC).
Addressing thousands of Zanu-PF supporters at White City stadium in Bulawayo during a rally today (Saturday), Mugabe said: "You are saying you are going to announce the election results. What are you? The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission has the mandate to announce the results. We say that is the law. We must all obey the law."
The President said some members in the MDC party have been tasked to undermine the election.
"We are aware that some groups within that party have been asked to work on undermining the elections by creating violence, raise some objections some which they make up and at the end they cry and say the election process was not free and fair. They say the situation has been militarised. The people know their rights and who the thieves are in the country," said Mugabe.
