A Harare woman appeared at Harare court for allegedly kidnapping two people and holding them against their will.
Beatitude Jennia Mavhunga, 29, represented by her lawyer, stood before the Harare Magistrate Nyasha Vhitorim facing charges of kidnapping Wilfred Murombo and Taurai Mhembere.
The state did not oppose bail and the matter was remanded to July 2.
Allegations are that, on June 2 around 6am Mhembere saw Mavhunga's gardener locking the gate.
The gardener told Mhembere that he had been instructed by the accused, Mavhunga, to lock the gate and that no one was allowed to come in or move out of the property.
Mhembere then told Murombo who then approached Mavhunga and was advised that the school was in rental arrears hence the gate was not going to be opened.
The two were kept in the yard for the whole day and was opened at around 8 pm by Mavhunga when the police arrived.
