People in Jengamvura, Chiweshe have accused their Member of Parliament for Mazowe North Campion Mugweni of ignoring their calls for electricity after their Zimbabwe Electricty Transmission Distribution Company (ZETDC) transformer blew off.
Sources who spoke to Bulawayo24.com said Mugweni has not bothered to visit them despite receiving their calls some months ago.
"We have gone for more than five months without electricity after our transformer blew off we informed our MP who has not shown any sign of assistance," lamented Donald Jengamvura.
Some electorate blasted Mugweni for not visiting them hence the majority does not know him.
"On paper we have an MP but physically we do not have one, he is not active in our constituency and the majority here does not even know him facially," Sekai Gatsi said.
"How can someone who does not even come back to the people assist we were given his number but he does not pick calls facially l have not seen him so we are not sure if this electrical problem is going to be solved.
Contacted for comment Mugweni said he is aware of the electrical fault and has approached ZETDC for help.
"I received that complainant and have since approached ZETDC for help they are acting on it as for ignoring calls that is a lie," Mugweni said.
Meanwhile, the MP was once humiliated while campaigning for DCC elections in his constituency after people told him to introduce himself.
