Guka kills Centenary man

Centenary based drug addict Richard David (44) died on Thursday last week after consuming too much drugs without eating.
He died on his way to hospital after his brother Bibo Mutongo saw his health deteriorating.
Masholand Central police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe confirmed the case.
"I can confirm a sudden death case in Kajogo village, Centenary where David died after consuming too much drugs without eating," Mundembe said.
A witness Bibo said his brother had gone for a number of days without eating and he tried to give him porridge to no avail.
"My brother is well-known drug addict he was high on drugs taking Guka, Mutoriro and other dangerous drugs he went for a number of days without eating so on Thursday his health deteriorated and I tried to give him porridge but he failed to eat when I decided to take him to the hospital he died along the way," he explained.
Police warned people to shun drugs as they risk losing their lives.
"We are discouraging people to take illicit drugs because they will kill them in the the long run," Mundembe said.
