TWO suspected carjackers reportedly posed as police officers and mounted a fake roadblock before robbing a man of his vehicle loaded with bales of tobacco worth $20 000.
The two, who were in the company of four alleged accomplices, later dumped the vehicle and repacked the bales of tobacco which they sold at Chidziva Tobacco Auction Floors.
Godfrey Chirimanyemba (53), a taxi driver, and Nevison Chitongo (30), a barber, were not asked to plead to robbery of a motor vehicle charges when they appeared before Harare magistrate, Mr Tendai Mahwe.
They were remanded in custody to July 1. Mr Mahwe advised them to apply for bail at the High Court.
