A Small Scale miner in the Ntabazinduna who went to Leads North Mine registered in the name of another miner Never Ntini where he ordered the mine worker to stop mining before he later produced a machete threatening to kill and throw him into the mine shaft has been fined $50.

Artwell Ntini (23) was denying the charges of assault and threats of violence when he appeared before a Bulawayo magistrate Charity Maphosa.

The magistrate convicted him at the close of the state case and ordered him to pay a fine of $50 or spend 20 days in jail.

The court heard that on May 23, 2015 at 1pm Ntini went to Leads North Mine owned by Never Ntini and ordered the worker Kimberly Maseko not to work in the mine shaft where he (Artwell) had some time in 2012 worked in. On May 24, at 5pm Artwell went to the same mine armed with a machete and
threatened to strike and throw him into mine shaft or whoever continued to work in the mineshaft.

Maseko reported the matter to the police leading to Artwell's arrest.
