Zanu PF has been urged to rest President Robert Mugabe in view that he is now too old to rule the country.
A political commentator Zexie Mashonga pleaded with the ruling Zanu-PF to please "rest this Mugabe, can't you see is too old to hold this office..?"
He said all the problems be it economical, social, political, environmental are emanating from his overstay in office.
"35 years in power as Zimbabwe president, excluding those years he lead Zanu before independence. What do you expect him to do in 4 years that he couldn't do for the past 35 years in power. Discuss his departure openly, you will find out that all this factionalism will end," said Mashonga.
"Constitutionally MDC has solved the succession equation, it is clearly spelt out in the New constitution how to replace a head of state and the famous 2 term limit, that shouldn't be a problem."
He said people might be surprised that why the opposition is interested with the happenings in Zanu-PF.
"It's simple, you guys are the ruling party, what ever you do there, affects the whole nation. So it's within our rights to demand progress from you. You stole election saying you are able. Be able as you claimed," he said.
