Egypt Air to resume Harare flights

Egypt air which suspended its flights to Harare nearly two years ago citing viability challenges is set to resume flights soon to the troubled southern African country.

This comes as tourism minister Walter Mzembi and his Egyptian counterpart Mohammed Yaehia Rahed last week agreed to work assiduously towards an early resumption of direct air links between Cairo and Harare as this is largely viewed as critical success factor in spurring tourism growth in both countries.

The withdrawal of Egypt air in 2014 came at a time when the country was pulling all stops to have at least 40 airlines connecting Zimbabwe to the rest of the world.
