ZAPU responsed to Financial Gazette - 'ZAPU in turmoil'
11 Jul 2013 at 15:48hrs | Views
ZAPU is dismayed by a so called ZAPU faction that has passed a vote of no confidence in the President of the Party, Dr Dumiso Dabengwa and his National Executive Committee.
For the record the above structure can not be removed by a bogus group of rebels. The President and NEC came about through a congress and as such will be removed or endorsed at congress.
This group of rebels have either been expelled from the party or have allegations and are awaiting disciplinary hearing.
The pseudo war veteran, Canciwell Nziramasanga and Ray Ncube expelled themselves from the party in 2011 and 2012 by forming their own pararrel structures in discord with the party's constitution.
Stylish Magida resigned on her own accord after she had lost the bid to represent the Matobo Constituency. Solomon Nhamo was suspended from attending NEC meetings as he is facing allegations of being a member of Freezim Congress.Mr Lloyd Masarirambi is also suspended from the party suspected of same. Both these members await a disciplinary hearing.
As such no wonder these members decided to be rebels against the organisation.
ZAPU is guided by its constitution and any resolutions stating otherwise are null and void. The resolution stated by the above bogus rebel group is null and void and should be treated with the contempt it deserves.
ZAPU wishes to state categorically that it will not be distracted from its elections campaign and march to the state house.
