Zaka District has hosted the 2025 Traditional Leaders Day at Chief Nhema's palace, celebrating the enduring role of traditional leadership in national development and cultural preservation.

This was revealed by the Ministry of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services in a post on the X platform.

"Zaka District hosted the 2025 Traditional Leaders Day at Chief Nhema's palace, celebrating the vital role of traditional leadership in nation building. The event was led by the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Hon. Chadzimira, accompanied by P.S Dr. Pazvakavambwa, and ZNA Chief of Staff Major Gen. A. Tapfumaneyi. Chiefs Nyakunhuwa, Bota, Ndanga, and Nhema attended the occasion, which featured cultural performances including traditional dance, mbira music, and the ZCC band. Major General Tapfumaneyi emphasized the importance of traditional values and urged youth to shun drug abuse," reads the post.

The ceremony highlighted the significance of traditional leaders in promoting unity, cultural identity, and social responsibility, particularly among the youth.
