Ditched man butchers wife, cut body into pieces

A ditched Lupane man Petros Ncube (52) could not control his anger and resorted to slicing his wife with a machete into pieces.
Ncube allegedly butchered his 50 year old wife Shirmy Nkiwane at their homestead.
Matabeleland North police spokesperson Siphiwe Makonese said a manhunt has been launched for Ncube.
"Ncube and Nkiwane were in the process of finalising their divorce. They were awaiting a ruling form Lupane magistrate courts on how they would share the property they accumulated during their years of marriage," said Makonese.
Makonese said Ncube had received summons from the court went his wife's homestead.
He asked her to accompany him to his homestead so they could share maize crop they had harvested in preparation for a court appearance. However, Ncube had other ideas, as he allegedly butchered her and fled. "There was blood everywhere. She was lying in a pool of blood. There was a bloody axe by her side and she had a deep gash on her left cheek," said Makonese.
The grisly murder happened last Sunday.
