A man from Empumalanga in Hwange has been dragged to court for numerous cases of break-ins and theft.

Decision Shoko (220 pleaded not guilty to the charges when he appeared before Hwange magistrate Portia Mhlanga.

The magistrate remanded him in custody to September 29.

In his defence he told the court that he entered the shop to defecate and not to steal.

Prosecutor Tompei Mbiza told the court that between August 23 and 24 2015 Shoko went to White Lace Investment Shop in Hwange where he broke in and stole $14, R400 and $40.

The total stolen was $120 and nothing was recovered.

On September 14 at 1am he went to the same shop and broke in again.

He was found inside the shop by the complainant Ashington Kwanisai and this led to his arrest.
