A Voice Speaking Through The Flood - Indonesia 2013 by Prophet T.B. Joshua

 The third week of January 2013, turned out to be a sorrowful time for the Asian nation of Indonesia. "I am seeing a very big flood. And it will carry a lot of houses, property and human beings."

Starting from the 16th of January, 2013, massive floods entered the capital city of Jakarta from the sea and swept people, property and homes away from safety and security. "It is a big time situation. I am seeing a country, IN."

Indonesia's disaster management agency spokesman, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said that floods had forced 18,000 people from their homes on Friday. The floods are recorded as the worst to hit the capital since 2007. Even the presidential palace was inundated by the waters on Thursday, with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono pictured in the grounds in rolled-up trousers. "It is not just rain but it is a spirit that comes from the sea. It will disturb this city."

The sprawling city was left virtually paralyzed' and officials warned that more water is on its way. Caused by unusually strong monsoon rains, the flood waters ' often carrying trash and human waste ' have inundated the city's central business district, closed schools and offices and entered the presidential palace. "Our map shows that about 50 percent of Jakarta is under water, ranging from 25 centimeters to 4 meters," Johan Freddy, an official with National Disaster Management Agency, was quoted as saying. With around 95,000 people affected in different areas of the city, authorities have declared a state of emergency. About 19,000 people have relocated from the worst affected districts to safer areas. "If there is nothing they can do about it, people there should be ready to carry the necessary things out of their houses."

Nearly 100,000 houses have been flooded leading to the displacement of 10,000 people into temporary shelters. "We have been informed that rains could intensify in the coming days. We have declared an emergency so that authorities can move quickly to provide assistance," Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo stated.

Relief efforts have been put in place and volunteers are working diligently to rescue and revive victimized citizens of the region.
