Dembare kicks off PSL season in Bulawayo

DEFENDING champions Dynamos FC open their 2014 Premiership account with a date against How Mine in Bulawayo, according to fixtures released to clubs by the PSL yesterday.
The domestic season gets underway on the weekend of March 29-30.
Both Dynamos and How Mine had an early start with Dembare competing in the Orange Caf Champions League while the gold miners are participating in the Orange Caf Confederation Cup.
The Harare giants who have since been knocked out of the continental competition start their title defence on the road, coming to Bulawayo where they lost 0-1 to How Mine last season.
Dembare will play Highlanders in the Battle of the Titans Part One on Week 12.
Bulawayo giants Highlanders kickoff their season with a trip to Gweru to face newly promoted Chapungu who knocked them out of the pre-season CG Msipha Scholarship Fund Tournament last week.
"The full calendar will be announced later this week or next week because the league is busy trying to tie down some deals.
"They will have to factor in the tournaments like the Sup8r Knockout tournament as well as a 16-team competition," said a source.
The league is still negotiating with Delta Beverages to sponsor the league with NetOne who previously funded a season's Charity Cup opener set to bankroll a 16-team tournament.
Speaking after his re-election as PSL boss at the weekend, Twine Phiri confirmed that they are going to have a new 16-team tournament.
Mbada Diamonds have in the last three seasons been sponsors of a 16-team tournament with the winners representing the country at the Orange Caf Confederation Cup.
