Dembare fans boycotting?

DYNAMOS supporters association chairman Khain Nyambuya has denied that they are behind messages on social media advocating for a boycott of Dynamos matches.
Messages were circulating on facebook and WhatsApp before the Yadah game at Rufaro on Sunday and the attendance at the match was poor.
Now DeMbare will need all the support they can get when they clash with CAPS United in the Harare derby, and Nyambuya says they are fully behind their team.
"We do not know the origin of those messages on match boycott. It's not coming from me or the section of our supporters association.
"It is only a matter of some disgruntled supporters that could have spread those messages and I do not think it had much effect," he said.
"In my opinion I think the social media would just contribute about five to ten percent of influence on such matters and it would be misleading to say that few supporters on Dynamos versus Yadah match was a result of those utterances.
"It is natural that when a team is performing badly the supporters will not attend the matches," said Nyambuya.
"The association was formed with the aim of mobilising support for the team and it is imperative we carry on with that vision.
"At the moment we do not know what is really affecting the club. We want to have a discussion with the management and map the way forward on how we can intervene as supporters on the club's crisis," he said.
Dynamos president Kenny Mubaiwa applauded the move.
"I know Nyambuya and it is a great move to engage the management of the club. That is what we expect to have, a dialogue so that we can come up with a solution to solve the current problem that is in our house.
"They are welcome and I am pleased with the idea. And those that want to boycott matches they should first come and discuss the problems with us before they make their move," said Mubaiwa.
Whilst DeMbare are trying to resolve some of their challenges, CAPS United defender Steven Makatuka views the Harare derby as one the much anticipated matches.
"This derby is something precious and special that everyone wants a bite from. In this match you have to prove that you are the best by playing and proving that you are the best by actions not words only," he said.
"This won't be an easy task despite our opponent not being in a good run, yes they might be struggling but you will never know what they had in store for us.
"We are going to fight even harder to attract positive results for our team and to make history.
"Everyone wants to win this game and nobody wants to lose it while there are two contenders and only one team will win this one.
"In football there is nothing like a walkover, we all have to work hard to achieve positive results. It's a game of two halves.
"Hard work will prevail all the way, because personally I don't believe in the so called walkovers, as they say no pain no gain," he said.
Makatuka is also part of the Warriors squad set to face Botswana at National Sports Stadium today.
"The feeling of being part of the national team is a good feeling because I have played for the national team before.
"It's all about wearing that national team shirt with pride." Makatuka said.
"We will definitely learn one or two good things from them or they will copy some few tricks from us."
