Mushekwi back in South Africa after German trials

ZIMBABWE international forward Nyasha Mushekwi returned to his base in South Africa yesterday after having fruitful trails at German Bundesliga side Greuther Furth. The former CAPS United forward is now available for Mamelodi Sundowns' MTN8 semi-final against Moroka wallows tomorrow.
After his return, Mushekwi will be further assessed today to find out if he could feature in the squad for tomorrow.
Reports have indicated that Mushekwi passed his medical at the Germany side and could be moving to Europe if his South African side accept the US$1 million offer.
According to Sibusiso Rantsoabe, who has been closely following Mushekwi, Greuther Furth were reluctant to release Mushekwi as they needed him for a match this weekend.
"There was even a talk that Greuther Furth will try and push the transfer to enable him to participate in the weekend's game against Bayern Munich.
"But knowing Mamelodi Sundowns it's never as easy as that with them.
"Greuther are thin up-front after releasing Olivier Occean who was their top goal scorer and helped them gain promotion to Eintracht Frankfurt.
"Now they have relying on the aging ex-German international Gerald Asamoah for goals, I guess they are desperate to sign a proven goal scorer like Nyasha Mushekwi," said Rantsoabe.
On August 15 2012, Mamelodi Sundowns confirmed that Mushekwi was leaving on the same night to begin a three-day assessment with the recently promoted Greuther Furth.
