DYNAMOS vice-captain Tawanda Muparati will have to pass a late fitness test as the champions host Shabanie Mine in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at Rufaro Stadium this afternoon.
The influential Dynamos midfielder failed to last the match against Triangle which they drew 2-2 as he limped off with an injury.
Dynamos will be hoping to clear the Shabanie Mine hurdle in their bid to land the premiership crown for the third successive season, but have been undone by suspensions in the build up to the match.
Defender Patson Jaure is serving the last match of his suspension after a red card, while Oscar Machapa and Murape Murape are also out after accumulating three yellow cards each.
Clive Kawinga, who has blown hot and cold this season, is nursing an injury and has been ruled out.
Assistant coach Richard Chihoro said Muparati started light training yesterday and will have to pass a late fitness test.
The Dynamos coach, however, said they had enough cover for Jaure with Victor Kamhuka, utility player Thomas Magorimbo and Augustine Mbara all available.
Luke Masomere's men have shown great potential to throw spanners into the works for the defending champions.
Shabanie held Dynamos to a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture at Maglas Stadium in Zvishavane ' one of their ten draws in the campaign so far.
The Zvishavane outfit also dumped Dynamos from the BancABC Sup8r Cup.
Shabanie will also be without William Ngonya who is suspended for picking up three yellow cards. Dynamos patron Webster Shamu has promised $2 000 for each goal that will be scored by his team while the club's executive is also understood to be working on extra incentives for the last three matches.
The league title is Dynamos's only chance of silverware this season after losing out on the BancABC Sup8r and the Mbada Diamonds Cup where they were knocked out by giant killers How Mine.
