ZITF's Mine Entra set to kick off today

The 16th edition of Mine Entra is set to kick off today at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) grounds in Bulawayo.
This year's Mine Entra, has attracted more than 250 exhibitors of exhibitors for the first time since 1997. The total booked space increased from 3 442 square metres to a massive 6 485 square metres.
Mine Entra 2011 whose theme is "Exploring Business Synergies in Mining, Engineering and Transport" has generated a lot of interest, especially from local exhibitors who are keen to showcase their latest products and services applicable to the three sectors of our economy.
The exhibition is scheduled for July 20-22 at the ZITF grounds in Bulawayo.
Analysts says it looks like there is some enthusiasm this year because of the rcovery in the economy and an exhibition like the Mine Entra is a mirror image of what is happening in the economy. They also alluded to the fact that Mining is also seen as the key to the long term recovery of the economy which has been strangled by a decade long collapse.
Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) chairman Bekithemba Nkomo iindicated that local companies have taken up much of the exhibition space and 200 exhibitors have confirmed attendance.
53 foreign exhibitors are expected to participate, of which 39 are indirect and 14 direct exhibitors mainly from South Africa.

Mine Entra is a specialised international exhibition which caters for the mutually compatible sectors of mining, engineering and transport and their associated industries. Mid-year timing is for maximum convenience and corresponds to the industry's main buying and tendering period. The event is only open to traders and business visitors.
