POPULAR South African house band, Mi Casa, who had their debut Zimbabwe performance at the Harare International Festival of the Arts (Hifa) on Saturday said their Zimbabwean experience was one of the most amazing for them. The group described Zimbabwe's hospitality as world class.

In a tweet from the group's account @MiCasaMusic, Mi Casa wrote:

"Honestly, Zimbabwe was one the most amazing experiences for us. The hospitality was world class and #HIFA2013 was amazing! #teamMiCasa"

Veteran journalist Mr Sure Kamhunga concurred with Mi Casa, he wrote "Zimbabweans by nature are warm and welcoming (to a fault)"

The group also said they were disappointed more than fans over their one-off show which was supposed to take place in March courtesy of May7 Entertainment.

The one-off show that had been scheduled for March 28 at the Harare International Conference Centre had to be cancelled at the last minute amid conflicting statements that were posted on various social media platforms like twitter and facebook as the public speculated.

"Firstly we have been trying to come to Zimbabwe since last year and it's good to just finally touch the round," the group said during a Press gathering before their performance on Saturday night.

The talented group said they had actually been building on coming to Zimbabwe for a very long time, but unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances would get in the way.

It said the upcoming album would include collaborations with other African artistes whose names they would not disclose for unknown reasons.

Micasa consists of Dr Duda, J Something and Mo-T. In February they got an opportunity for a grand arena appearance when they performed at US President Barack Obama's second inauguration ceremony in Washington DC, USA.

The band received a lot of attention from the public in late 2011 for their hit single These Streets which was taken from the album Micasa Music, followed by other hits such as Heavenly Sent and La Vida.
