SOUTH African gospel artistes, Solly Mahlangu and Keke, will on Sunday perform in Bulawayo at Queens Sports Club at the grand finale of the annual Harvest House International Church Apostolic/Prophetic Conference.
This is the second time that Keke comes to Bulawayo and the third in the country. He was last in the city in 2010 during the same event and gave a scintillating performance. Last year Keke was invited by AFM Mabelreign assembly in Harare.
The theme for this year's conference is "Double Sided Favour" and the conference started on Monday and will end on Sunday.
Six preachers from the country and the region will take morning, afternoon and evening sessions during the conference.
The six are Bishop Tudor Bismark, Apostle Robert Kasaro, Reverend Elias Ndeda, Bishop Bernard Nwaka, Dr Enock Sitima and Pastor Bonnie Deuschle.
Last year Joyous Celebration graced the conference on Sunday and worshippers had a memorable time.
In an interview yesterday, spokesperson for Harvest House International Church Pastor Zwelithini Moyo said all was set for the two artistes to perform.
He said the two artistes will fly into the country on the day of the concert with a 24-member band.
"We are looking forward to Solly and Keke to perform at the concert on Sunday. They will be backed by local groups namely Hosana, Harvest Tabernacle Choir and Worship Addicts. We thought to promote local artistes from the church on this stage," said Moyo.
He said there will be no delays that were experienced during last year's concert with Joyous Celebration. "Last year we had a challenge as the stage was mounted a day before the concert. Then there was the issue of managing joyous, a group that has 56 members. That was why we started late but this will not be the case," said Moyo.
He said Solly will be on stage at 4pm and for one-and-a-half hours and Keke will take to the stage later.
"Their show will be four hours long. They will have one-and-a-half hours each and then the remaining hour they will perform together," said Moyo.
The leader of Praise Addicts Minister Takesure "Zamar" Ncube said the group will perform songs from the four albums that they had released.
He said the group that was formed last year will be performing for the second year at the conference.
Last year's Joyous Celebration concert attracted more than 5 000 people.
Apostles Colin and Sarah Nyathi founded Harvest House International Church in 1995 in Bulawayo. The church has established 115 branches churches in the country, region and the world.
