General Overseer of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet T.B. Joshua has been commended for donating the sum of 10 million Naira to the less privileged in the North in the spirit of Ramadan.
The donation is part of the humanitarian and philanthropic gestures of The SCOAN's activities towards assisting the less privileged in the society which has been recognised across Nigeria and beyond.
According to Ambassador Tanko Aliyu, the donation will go a long way in assisting the less privileged in the society, especially at this crucial period of Ramadan.
Ambassador Aliyu said the people of the region are very appreciative of the gesture as it goes to show that Nigerians are one irrespective of religious affiliations.
He also called on other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the philanthropic gestures of Prophet T.B Joshua, who has continued to stand out in assisting Nigerians and non-Nigerians alike.
His words: "This donation is coming at a time many Nigerians are experiencing economic difficulties and it will go a long way in assisting them.
"This is part of the activities expected of well to do individuals in the society, whether Muslims or Christians. If other well-meaning Nigerians emulate the man of God, Prophet T.B Joshua, the less privileged will have a sense of belonging.
"We are calling on those at the helm of affairs to do something of this nature, by coming to the aid of ordinary people. Let the people not only feel them during elections but at all times."
