MDC Youth (Byo) Statement on the Ellevation of Youth Leaders in the Party Structures

The MDC Youth Assembly (BYO) would like to congratulate Cdes Ellen Shiriyedenga and Cde Qhubani Moyo for being elevated to the positions of Director of Election and Policy Chief respectively.

To us the youth Assembly the elevation of Cde Shiriyedenga means she is now a member of the All Powerful Standing Committee of the MDC and we are best assured that as the Former General Secretary of the Youth Assembly she will advance the interests of the young Youth Assembly and the broader young people of Zimbabwe.

We are further assured that in her position, she will craft and oversee over youth friendly electoral guidelines for the party that will translate into an increased number of youth being elected in the coming national elections.

Dr. Qhubani Moyo the Former National Youth Organiser has been redeployed to be the Policy Chief of the Party. His redeployment comes at a time when the nation is still battling with a unfunctioning Zanunised Youth Policy which has failed to serve the interests of the Youth, battling with a misinterpreted Indinisation Policy that seeks to empower the Zanu Chefs and leave the young people. henceforth as an Assembly we welcome the redeployment of Dr Qhubani Moyo as a pain ease to the country's ailing policy field.

Above all, as an Assembly we remain committed to the vision of MDC and we will at all times uphold discipline and toil indefatigable for a democratic change so as to achieve that which those who have shed their blood for the cause strived for.
