Caps United 3 - 2 Bulawayo Chiefs
Caps United secured their place in the top-flight league with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Bulawayo Chiefs in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

William Manondo, last season's Golden Boot winner, scored twice for Caps United, opening the scoring with a header in the 29th minute and equalizing with an acrobatic kick just after the hour mark.

Chiefs responded with goals from Obriel Chirinda and Billy Veremu. Rodwell Chinyengetere sealed the win for Caps United with a goal in the 79th minute. The victory lifted Caps United to eighth position with 41 points, securing their safety in the league.

Caps United coach Lloyd Chitembwe expressed delight with the three points, praising the team's overall performance and the impact of key players, including the goal-scoring comeback of William Manondo after a dry spell.

Despite some defensive lapses, Chitembwe highlighted the team's control and dominance, particularly in the second half, as they secured the crucial victory. Bulawayo Chiefs, on the other hand, remains in 12th position with 36 points, just two points above the relegation cut-off point, with three matches left in the campaign.

The team has faced challenges, losing their last three matches, and is now in a precarious position as they strive to avoid relegation.
