'Let us not experiment with our future,' says Welshman Ncube

Movement for Democratic Change president, Welshman Ncube, told supporters Friday that leaders should be servants of the people and not Chefs as he launched his election campaign at Chikomba in Mashonaland East province.
"We are not Chefs, we are servants," said Ncube.
"What went wrong in Zimbabwe is that instead of creating servants we created Chefs who went on to become thieves and murderers.
"This election is about new beginnings and a new Zimbabwe. That is why we can't go into coalitions of convenience.
"Our job isn't just to get rid of (Robert) Mugabe but to ensure that once we have removed him we replace him with leaders that have a different DNA from that of Zanu-PF."
Ncube warned voters against leadership experimentation as Zimbabwe looks to elect a substantive government at the end of the month.
"If you make a mistake and experiment with people who are clueless we would have an Egypt situation here," he said.
"They removed (Hosni) Mubarak and celebrated, where are they today? They are saying Mubarak was better. Do you want to do that? Do you want another false revolution? Let us not experiment with our future."
In an apparent dig at Morgan Tsvangirai's coalition with Zanu Ndonga's Reketayi Semwayo, who is said to have been a driver for former party leaders, Ncube said: "What we are talking of here is a real coalition and not the fake one you have just seen.
"If you enter into a coalition with a driver, yes he can drive you around, but that does not make it a coalition. What we have here is a real coalition of real political parties with people behind them."
