Intwasa Festival in fire scare

Today's official launch of the 10th edition of the Intwasa Festival was momentarily in doubt when a kombi parked outside the Large City Hall in Bulawayo caught fire.

The kombi with four passengers inside was burnt to a shell after a suspected mechanical fault.

All passengers escaped in hurt.

The Bulawayo Fire Brigade quickly reported to the scene but there was not much to be done to save the kombi.

The programme of the launch is expected to begin in a few minutes.
