An A-Level student at the Bulawayo Foundation College Donald Musona (21) has been dragged to court to answer a charge of assaulting Brennan Moyo in a dispute over passage at a bridge in Nkulumane.

Musona was not asked to plead to the charge and was granted $50 bail by Bulawayo magistrate Tinashe Tashaya. He was remanded to October 27 for trial.

The court heard that on September 10 this year at 11pm the complainant was walking along Rangemore road in Nkulumane on his way home with Cleton Vengai Muza and Munyaradzi Nzvenga.

As they were near Mtshane primary school, they met the accused and his three friends namely Tsepo Phoso, Moagi Sibanda and Zangelo Sibanda who were going the opposite direction.

Musona hit Cleton by a shoulder and Moyo asked what he was doing, Musona then assaulted him and he ran away but he sustained cuts on the head and on hands.

A report made to the police led to his arrest.
