Zimbabwe Investment Authority chairperson Nigel Chanakira has made stunning revelations that a boundary dispute between Bulawayo City Council and Umguza Rural District Council has stalled a $100 million housing project.
The two local authorities have been embroiled for years over the boundaries.
Chanakira told delegates to a Local Government Economic Development Forum 2015 at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair that the quarrel was saddening.
He said "There is a $100 million project that is failing to kick off due to dispute between Bulawayo council and Umguza rural District.
" It's all about the border lines and who will be receiving rates from occupants of the house".
