ECD pupils drink rat poison

There was pandemonium at Mqiqika Primary School in Nketa on Monday after three pupils collapsed after allegedly drinking rat poison.
An Early Childhood Development (ECD) pupil had brought a powder to school mistaken for a juice drink, B-Metro reported.
The pupil diluted the powder and shared it with two of her friends.
They soon developed running tummies and felt dizzy.
They where rushed to Mpilo Hospital for treatment.
Said one of the affected pupils parent : "My child was hospitalised at Mpilo after she drank poison thinking it was jolly juice" said Nomathemba Moyo.
She added "After taking the poison she started vomiting and I was phoned when a teacher took them to a hospital" she is quoted saying by B-Metro.
