Man sodomised six times by friends at knife point

IN an incident that has left residents of Msasa low density suburb in Kwekwe baffled, two men allegedly sodomised their friend six times at knife point and tried to buy his silence with cigarettes.

Innocent Bhebe (22) and his accomplice only identified as Baba Tafadzwa both of Msasa Park in Kwekwe allegedly took turns to sodomise their friend a 24-year-old man promising to buy him a cigarette.

Bhebe was on Friday last week arraigned before Gokwe magistrate Mr Christopher Maturure facing six counts of aggravated indecent assault.

He was not asked to plead and was remanded in custody to 20 December.

Mr Maturure advised Bhebe to apply for bail at the High Court.

For the State, Mr Tineyi Chirigo alleged that on 4 December, Bhebe was smoking cigarettes with his accomplice Baba Tafadzwa, who is still at large, in the company of the complainant.

Bhebe and his accomplice told the complainant that they wanted to buy cigarettes at a nearby kiosk and he accompanied them.

Mr Chirigo further alleged that the three used a footpath that passed through a bushy area where Bhebe and his accomplice seized an opportunity and forced the complainant to lie on his stomach and remove his pants.

The court heard that, Baba Tafadzwa put on a condom and sodomised the complainant while Bhebe placed a knife on his neck threatening to kill him if he screamed.

Mr Chirigo told the court that the two took turns to sodomise the complainant at knife point six times until he started bleeding.

He said the two threatened the complainant with death if he reported the matter to anyone.

However, the complainant went and informed Bhebe's sister who he was staying with and the matter was reported to the police leading to Bhebe's arrest.

Bhebe's accomplice, who is a self proclaimed prophet of the madzibaba apostolic sect, disappeared and is still at large.

The complainant was taken to hospital where he is receiving treatment.
